Bunkyo Festival

Bunkyo Festival

Every year in June and for two weeks, Tokyo and the Bunkyo district in Japan becomes an amazing place where you can admire the seasonal flowers.

Due to Coronavirus, in 2020 the event could not take place. Vague d'amour decided as a tribute to imagine the poster for the event.

An identity where the colour reveals the message and the minimalistic symbols of Japan and an impressive font to spread the power and the immensity of the nature.

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”

Always in movement

A visual identity doesn't have to be always obvious.

It can talk and represent an event or product without showing too much. Here the poster serie shows in different layers: Tokyo, the flowers, the crowded movement in the city. The name of the event and some parts are underlined by the use of bright colours.

Vague d'amour likes to mix a bold typography and thin line-art illustration to create a complex and poetic visual balance to represent the delicacy of the flowers but also the environment of the megalopolis of Tokyo.
